Nursery
The purpose of the nurseries at Berean Baptist is to provide a safe, clean, loving and cheery place for parents to bring their children. We want all parents to know that when they leave their children in our care, they are free to concentrate on service, and the preaching of God's Word.
Baby Nursery
The baby nursery is for babies between newborn and 1 year old, or until they are mobile enough to transfer to the toddlers. The nursery is clean, well supplied with regard to changing table, bottle warmers, cribs, swings, play pens and age appropriate toys. This nursery is staffed by mothers and ladies over the age of 21. There is a private nursing area provided for nursing babies. We change crib and play pen sheets after every use. The toys are also sterilized after every service.
Toddler Nursery
The toddler nursery is for children between the ages of 1 and 2 years. We have age appropriate toys, and a changing table for this room. Everything is cleaned and sterilized after each service. This room is staffed by ladies over 21 along with some teenage helpers.
2 & 3 year old Nursery
This room is more structured. They have Sunday School where the children sing songs, listen to Bible stories, have snack time, and play. This room is also staffed with ladies over the age of 21 and some teenage helpers. Again the toys provided are appropriate for the ages of the children in this room. The room and toys are cleaned after each service.
All of our care givers are members of Berean Baptist Church. We keep the nurseries staffed according to the number of children on hand. Each room as a specific set of rules and guidelines. All of the nurseries have sign-in sheets for parents to leave special instructions when the children are dropped off. There are also pagers available to make it easier for the nursery workers to contact the parents in a matter of minutes. Personal items brought with each child is labeled and kept in a storage bin with their name on it.
