TALK - TALK - TALK
What we do on Friday Nights
Our program is designed around a three talk program—
- First talk— we talk to God in prayer. Each person has an opportunity to request prayer for a need, either spoken or unspoken. A list of prayer requests is handed out each Friday for our people to pray for throughout the week. We then take time to talk to God about these requests that have been made.
At the conclusion of our prayer time, we have testimony time where each person is given an opportunity to share a praise of what God has done for them. This might be a praise for an answer to prayer or victory God they experienced this past week. It is always exciting to hear what God is doing in the lives of the members of our group. - Second talk— we talk to each other. We break up into small support groups of ladies and men led by a support group leader. Students go over their completed challenges they have finished in our curriculum and encourage others to be regular in working in the RU curriculum. If anyone needs personal counsel, it is available in these groups. Men meet with other men and women meet with other women.
- Third talk— God talks to us through the preaching of God’s Word. Our director is trained in presenting truths from the Bible that are both convicting yet caring. The Bible tells is in John 8:32-"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
